Sabanci university
It is a private endowment university founded in 1994 by the Sabanci Group and led by the endowment of Haj Omar Sabanci.
Sabanci University began receiving students for the first time in the tenth month of 1999. It is the only university that adopts the liberal education system in teaching students. This system is based on requiring all students to set basic courses in the first academic year, while students go to certain majors in the second year and choose the appropriate major for them at the end of this year based on their experiences in it.
A word about the university:
It is one of the distinguished universities and is considered one of the best universities in Turkey. The decision to establish it was issued in 1994 and it was founded in 1996.
It occupies the position (1082) in the world and the position (12) in Türkiye.

Sabanci University is the first Turkish university that does not have a “department” system. Where you see that this system hinders the process of communication between different disciplines and affects the experiences of students, so the student who applies to study in these universities does not choose a department to study, but rather chooses a college or a group in one of the colleges.
After students are accepted into Sabanci University, students must pass an English language exam or submit English language certificates.
If the student does not pass the exam or does not hold one of these certificates, he must study a preparatory year in English, after which the student has the right to start the basic development program.
Thanks to the University’s core development programme, students are given the rare opportunity to receive a detailed education in many different areas.
The core development program consists of two different phases:
1- Detailed university courses on technical sciences and social sciences.
2- Initial lessons in the major that students wish to study.
Students choose the field in which they want to obtain a degree among 13 programs without taking any exam. After completing the first academic year in the college of his choice at Sabanci University, he is entitled to apply for a university degree.
Basic Education Program
In the first academic year, all students are subject to a unified educational system. This system consists of the following lessons:
Human and society.
History of the revolution.
Turkish literature.
Nature and science.
– mathematics.
-english language.
In the second academic year, students begin to attend preliminary classes on the major of their choice. After the end of this year, students are forced to choose a specific major in which they wish to obtain a degree.
