It was established based on the tutelage of the late businessman, Mehmet Altinbaş, who always emphasized the importance of “investing in education”; Altınbaş University was the most valuable inheritance of the Altınbaş family.

The university was established under the name “Istanbul University Kemerburgaz” by the Mehmet Altinbash Foundation for Education and Culture in 2008 in the city of Istanbul in the European section of the (Bağcilar) region, and the university continues its way towards the future after its name was changed to “Altinbash University” in 2017 .
It ranks globally (6767) and Türkiye (123).

Why Altınbaş University

Altinbaş University has grown into an international research university that has shown great progress within a very short period of time. Today, it continues to make valuable contributions to the scientific community with a large number of patents, scientific and technological research council projects of Turkey (TUBITAK) and high rate of faculty publications and participation in international conferences. And this is part of its goal to become a center for international scientific research and activities. More than 3 thousand out of ten thousand students enrolled in Altinbaş University belong to 88 different countries of the world. This led to the provision of many specializations in English, as well as in Turkish. The international classification of the university “from A+ to D” is B.
