Bilkent university

It is the first private university in Türkiye founded by Professor Dr. Ihsan Dogramacı

It does not aim for profit, but the main objective of its establishment is to be a center of excellence in the field of higher education and scientific research, and the word Bilkent is an abbreviation for “bilim kenti” and its meaning in Turkish is “the city of science and learning.”

The university’s campus is located about 12 kilometers away from the main highway of Eskisehir. miles west of the center of Ankara, and we cover an area of more than 500 hectares (1,200 acres).

Bilkent University is ranked #129 globally and #1 (after Istanbul Technical University) nationally in the field of engineering and technology (by QS World University Rankings 2009).
